Medical Oxygen Generator

Medical Oxygen Generators produce gaseous oxygen from compressed air on site and offer a cost-effective, reliable and safe alternative to traditional oxygen gas supplies such as cylinders or cryogenic liquid.

OXYWISE`s Medical Oxygen Generators are available in several standard models with a capacity ranging from 0.4 to 150 m3 / hour at 93-95% purity. The design is made for round the clock 24/7 operation. Each oxygen generator is equipped with an automatic start & stop function, enabling the generator to adapt according to the current consumption. As standard, our medical oxygen generators are equipped with purity control, audio / visual alarms and an UPS (uninterrupted power supply) modul.

An Oxygen Generator from Oxywise, has been certified to European Directive 93/42/EEC on Medical Device. Therefore, our medical oxygen generators are used at hospitals around the world with an unsurpassed reliability. Along with the medical oxygen generator, we also supply the entire system for a complete solution. If you need an oxygen generator and filling station to fill high pressure cylinders, we can offer our Oxygen Filling Station. Several models of which are available.

No space inside a hospital building? We can supply you with a containerized unit, which can be installed outside near to where you need oxygen. We manufacture our containerized units in-house, meaning we are responsible for every single step taken when building the system. Whether you want a basic Medical Oxygen Generating System or a more sophisticated unit, we can design and manufacture it according to your requirements and needs.

Technology

Pressure Swing Adsorbtion (PSA) is the most commonly used non-cryogenic oxygen production process; It is the most effective production method for small to medium capacities. The process works by using two columns filled with an adsorbent material, a molecular sieve called Zeolite. Pre-treated compressed air enters the first column and flows up through the Zeolite. Nitrogen and other trace gases are trapped in the Zeolite, whilst oxygen flows through unimpeded. When the Zeolite in the active column is saturated with nitrogen, the air flow is re-directed to the second column. The first column then depressurizes. Nitrogen is purged out of the Zeolite to the atmosphere, allowing the Zeolite to completely regenerate, waiting for the second column to become fully staturated. The process is repeated continuously; when one column is pressurizing, the other regenerates/de-pressurizes and at the end of each cycle they switch roles. This allows the generator to produce a constant flow of purified oxygen.
